Baby Sleep: What can you realistically expect?
The hardest thing about the earliest months of being a mom for me was how little my son slept. I felt like I never got a break, so the hands-on baby care was utterly relentless, and on top of that, he seemed to have absolutely no clue about the sleep milestones he was bypassing!
More Sleep? How?!
…keep trying those baby sleep tips because it will sometimes make you feel better and maybe something will work, but maybe just face it: your baby is not a sleepy baby. You won’t see it for several more months, but you, as the mother, will take a lot longer to recover from all this sleeplessness than he will, so do what it takes to get more sleep today and get through this newborn stage in good health.
“She holds babies!”
This morning, my son's preschool teacher asked him what my job was, and I was really curious about his response! His teacher asked him, "What does your mom do at her job?" and my son replied, "She holds babies!" I was amazed! And he's not really wrong, either!
