Introduction - Transcripts

Hello and welcome to Prepping for Parenthood. I am so delighted that you've decided to join me inside this course. In this video, I'm going to run you through how the course is set up, how the material is organized, and when you will be able to start viewing the course materials.

So first, I'm really glad you're here.

In the first section that you're going to see on this page, you'll find the dates for our Zoom Q&A calls. They're all at 10:00 AM Pacific time on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the month that you signed up. I happen to record this in February, and I'll include a Zoom link here in this description when the course is ready to go live.

And I've decided to keep the course content more or less closed until the start time, which is different each month, but it starts about the halfway point of the month and runs for the last two weeks of the month because I don't want you to get started and get like a third of the way in and then lose steam or get distracted then, and then never wrap it up again.

Instead, I want to provide two solid weeks for you to focus on working your way through the videos and completing the tasks that go with those videos so that for that dedicated space you can really focus on getting the work done and knowing that it's behind you and you are ready to meet your baby.

And so if you're not at the start date, the midpoint of the month yet, please take a minute in the meantime to complete this questionnaire. Let's see if it'll open for me here. It's just three quick questions. Four, if you include the due date of your baby. And when you complete this, it'll go straight to my email and let me know who's joining me this month. And I would love to get to know you before we meet.

So here's how the course is laid out. There are four modules. Know your Needs, Prepping for Postpartum, Baby Basics, and Finding your Village. And when the course goes live in the second half of the month, these buttons will take you to the videos that go with each of the modules.

Each of the modules is laid out just the same. It's going nice and slow because I'm trying to do several things at once along with recording the screen, so each of the modules has six videos, an introduction, four lesson videos, and a wrap up.

Inside each of the lesson videos you'll find a full video lesson that's just like this recording with my face and some slides.

And then below the videos I've included a link to a transcript for the video so that you can read it as if it were a blog or if you have accessibility needs, the transcript is there.

And also the bullet points that are covered on the slide in each of the lessons, and they always finish with a to-do task, so something that you can do in response to the video to help you prepare to meet your baby.
